Anyone who's played Mother 3 knows about them.
You see these frogs just about anywhere!
I prefer them over the telephone since:

1) I like frogs
2) They don't give a long speech (unlike Ness father)
3) They manage your DP (Mother 3 currency)

If they ever decide to make another Mother/Earthbound game, I hope the save frogs stay. (or at least something that isn't a telephone )
